Key Stage 4 Travel and Tourism
The Level 2 First Award in Travel and Tourism is equivalent to one GCSE at grades A*-C for students who obtain pass, merit, distinction or distinction* level. This is a vocational course in which students will learn about real Travel and Tourism and carry out current research to develop examples in their work. Students gain skills of communication, note-taking, map reading, presentation, research, analysis and independent learning, valued by employers and academic institutions alike. At Bishop Thomas Grant School we cover units on The UK Travel and Tourism Sector (exam), The UK Travel and Tourism Destinations, International Travel and Tourism Destinations, and The Travel and Tourism Customer Experience. Three units (75%) are assessed through the completion of coursework and one unit (25%), The UK Travel and Tourism Sector, is assessed by an exam.
